Rainbow Six Siege X

Walls, drones and gadgets turn every round into a breach puzzle. A decade old and still unlike anything else.

The drill

Attackers scout with drones and breach reinforced walls; defenders fortify and trap. Knowing maps wall by wall matters as much as aim, and the operator roster is huge.

A session on the range

Rounds are short but matches are long. The learning curve is the steepest on the range: plan for weeks of map study.

Money and fair play

The Siege X relaunch made the core game free. Operators unlock with in-game currency or money, and the cosmetic shop is busy. Ranked access requires reaching a level threshold first.

Hits

  • Destructible, gadget-driven tactics
  • Free to start since Siege X
  • Enormous depth

Misses

  • Hardest onboarding of any shooter
  • Busy store and operator grind

After-action report

For patient players who love planning and teamwork. Not for anyone who wants to jump in and shoot.
